Your Professional Head Shots

Planning Your Professional Head shots


Prepare your hair!
          1. Plan your Hair Color and/or Haircut 2 weeks beforehand 
          2. Deep Condition for optimum light reflection 2 days before shoot
          3. Detox/ Clarify for optimum body and movement 1 day before shoot
          4. Use the correct styling products the day before your shoot; On the day of your shoot, we recommend restyling your hair for better hold, better volume and better styling control.

Prepare your skin!
      1. Exfoliate up to 4 weeks beforehand. 
         2. Moisturize 2 times per day- this should already be your daily habit
         3. Plan your Facial Waxing appointment 1-2 weeks beforehand (2 weeks if you have sensitive skin)
         4. Primer must be used before your Makeup is applied unless your receiving Airbrush Makeup
         5. Semi-permanent Eyelashes should be applied or retouched 1 week before shoot
         6. False Eyelashes are applied the day of your shoot, but process is important. (Consult a Professional)
         7. If possible, avoid tanning beds...they'll dry your skin out. Rather, receive an Airbrush (sunless) Tan 2-3 days before your shoot.

1.      Poor nutritionespecially inadequate protein or iron; fad diets and crash diets can cause poor nutrition

4.      Medical treatments – chemotherapy or radiation therapy
5.      Hormonal changes and imbalances – could be the result of pregnancy, childbirth, discontinuation of birth control pills, onset of menopause, overactive or under active thyroid gland
6.      Hair treatments – chemicals used for dying, tinting, bleaching, straightening, or permanent waves can cause hair loss if overused or used incorrectly; over-styling or excessive brushing can cause hair loss if the hair shaft becomes damaged
7.      Scalp infection – ringworm (a common fungal infection) can invade the hair and skin of your scalp
